My Journey
Identity Solutions Manager
Global Security Information Security
After more than 14 years in technology leadership at NYU Meyers, I wanted to expand my technical impact across the university. I transitioned to NYU IT to help shape the identity infrastructure that enables secure access to the systems, applications, and resources that support NYU’s global community.
Identity is foundational to nearly every aspect of the university. From students accessing academic resources and faculty conducting research to administrators managing operations, secure and reliable identity services connect our community to the technology they depend on every day. In this role, I help architect, modernize, and secure that foundation at an enterprise scale.
As Identity Solutions Manager, I oversee identity infrastructure supporting more than 800,000 identities and 1,000 applications. My responsibilities include modernizing authentication through Microsoft Entra, consolidating identity directories and single sign-on providers, and leading NYU’s Privileged Access Management program with BeyondTrust to protect critical systems and administrative accounts.
I also lead and mentor a team of eight engineers and consultants, drive enterprise security remediation, and advance initiatives focused on least-privilege access, regulatory compliance, and alignment with NIST security standards.
This role allows me to combine strategic leadership, technical architecture, cybersecurity, and team development to solve complex challenges that extend beyond an individual school or department. My goal is to build secure, scalable, and sustainable identity solutions that strengthen the university’s technology foundation and enable its academic, research, and administrative missions.
Chief Technologist
CareMobi
While serving as Senior Director of Technology and Client Services at NYU Meyers College of Nursing, I partnered with Dr. Tina Sadarangani to launch CareMobi, a digital health application designed to improve care coordination. This ongoing venture has allowed me to apply my technology leadership and business expertise to an entrepreneurial initiative. I helped develop the business plan, define the technical vision, and guide the planning and development of the mobile application for Apple's APP Store and Google Play Store. My contributions also include financial budgets and projections, business planning, and development timelines to support sustainable growth and successful project execution.
As technology architect and business partner, I continue to oversee technical strategy, coordinate external development and design vendors, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technology decisions with business objectives and user needs. From financial planning and vendor management to technical architecture and product development, my role bridges business strategy and technology execution, helping translate an innovative vision into a practical digital health solution.
Sr. Director, Technology and Client Services
NYU Meyers College of Nursing
My time at NYU Meyers College of Nursing provided me with the opportunity to grow as both a technology leader and an organizational strategist. It was a defining chapter in my career, allowing me to combine technical expertise, people management, and strategic planning to advance the college’s educational, administrative, and research missions.
I built and led a team of 15 employees across remote and on-site environments, supporting a broad range of services, including the help desk, audiovisual technology, systems administration, cybersecurity, web development, and research technology infrastructure. I was responsible for ensuring our technology services, infrastructure, and investments aligned with institutional priorities.
One of my key accomplishments was developing and implementing a comprehensive technology strategy that included a cloud strategy to expand our computing, storage, serverless services, and cloud infrastructure capabilities. These investments supported website and mobile application development for administrative and research initiatives. I also established a technology security strategy that strengthened security practices across the college and enabled my team to meet all computer security key performance indicators (KPIs) established by NYU leadership.
Beyond my responsibilities at Meyers, I contributed to technology strategy across the university, serving as co-chair of the University CIO Council from 2019 to 2022. During this time, I helped establish an endpoint management and security working group, bringing stakeholders together to build consensus around technology standards and solutions. This work supported the adoption of VMware Workspace ONE (WS1) and BigFix, strengthening endpoint management and security across NYU.
My experience at NYU Meyers reinforced my belief that effective technology leadership extends beyond implementing systems and managing operations. It requires building capable teams, earning stakeholder trust, fostering collaboration, and aligning technology investments with organizational goals to deliver meaningful results.
MBA, Specializations in Finance and Management
NYU Stern School of Business
My professional journey and accomplishments created the opportunity to attend my dream school, NYU Stern, on a full scholarship. Earning my Executive MBA, with specializations in Finance and Management, strengthened my financial acumen and management skills while broadening my perspective as a leader.
The Stern EMBA program also provided opportunities to learn beyond the classroom. Through visits with Chinese businesses and interactions with business leaders, I gained valuable international exposure and a deeper appreciation for different business practices, cultures, and approaches to leadership.
Completing the Stern program reinforced two important lessons that continue to influence my professional philosophy:
- Hard work creates opportunities.
- Understand organizational dynamics.
Being admitted to and successfully completing a rigorous business program reinforced my belief that achievement requires dedication, discipline, and a willingness to put in the work. Talent and opportunity matter, but what you do with those opportunities matters just as much.
As Professor R. Kabaliswaran emphasized in his Ten Commandments on Power, “If you don’t play politics, politics will be played on you!”
This lesson taught me the importance of understanding organizational dynamics, building relationships, and recognizing that success depends on more than technical expertise alone. Effective leadership requires understanding people, navigating competing priorities, and knowing how to influence decisions while staying true to your values.
Assistant Director of Information Systems
Maurice A. Deane School of Law, Hofstra University
Hofstra Law gave me the opportunity to apply the management principles I learned at the University of Central Florida while building on the technical expertise I developed at Lockheed Martin.
During my time at Hofstra, I focused on improving IT service delivery, strengthening security, and introducing new technologies to support the school’s academic and operational needs. I improved customer service at the computer service desk, introduced remote computer troubleshooting, strengthened endpoint security, and developed web applications, desktop applications, and system administration tools. I also implemented automated lecture capture and livestreaming technologies to enhance the delivery of lectures and support campus events.
My experience at Hofstra Law reinforced an important lesson: technical expertise alone does not make a great IT professional. A strong work ethic, a commitment to customer service, and an understanding of the people behind the technology are equally important.
Systems Administrator
Lockheed Martin
Lockheed Martin was my first professional role after college and the beginning of my career in technology. I was fortunate to receive a job offer before graduating from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, specializing in Management Information Systems. After graduation, I made the move from Florida to New York to begin this exciting new chapter in my life.
My experience at Lockheed Martin taught me the importance of continuous learning, hard work, and professional growth. Moving to New York challenged me to step outside my comfort zone, think critically, and embrace new opportunities. It also taught me the value of taking calculated risks and adapting to change—lessons that have continued to shape my approach to technology, leadership, and career development.
